  • Order Form - MNQ03 Extractive Industries Training Package Resources
    Support materials are now available for a range of Extractive Units of Competency. The units cover a wide range of competencies, including the mandatory core units. The full list is accessible on the following link:
    MNQ03 Resources. There is a total of 37 units and a Facilitator Guide. They are available as individual units or as a full set, as per the price schedules in the Order Form .

  • Order Form - MNQ03 Extractive Industries Training Package
    The Extractive Training Package MNQ03 has been developed as a result of extensive industry consultation and validation. This Training Package has been revised to address the needs of all aspects of quarries and other extractive industries. The industry has embraced the principles of determining endorsed components of Training Packages and Support Resources and recognises the benefit Training Package implementation has in meeting regulatory requirements.

  • Order Form - Engaging Industry - Entry Level Training Program
    This program aims to increase industry engagement and uptake of recognised training; facilitate the recruitment of new entrants to the mining industry and provide adequate entry level training resource materials for new entrants to the mining industry. The material consist of:

      • 4 Mandatory Learning Guides
        • Work Safely
        • Communicate in the workplace
        • Contribute to site quality outcomes
        • Conduct local Risk Control
      • 3 Elective Learning Guides
        • Operate medium vehicle
        • Participate in environmental work practices
        • Operate a personal computer
      • Training Record Book
      • Training and Assessment Guide

 

  • Loader Operations - The following units have been jointly developed by KRC & the IQA
    • MNQOPS231(Service and handover front endloaders)
    • MNQOPS331(Conduct face loader operations)
    • MNQOPS339(Conduct sales loader operations)


How are they delivered?


1 day of approx 7.5 hours with breaks (see typical agenda attached). Presenter (Steve Franklin or other person) delivers to group of attendees using data projector. The PowerPoint presentation includes lots of images and videos to help absorb material. There is also plenty of discussion throughout the day. Participants receive handouts of the slides in a binder. There is a practical part to the workshop where possible. Attendees can inspect a loader and are shown specifics. Held at different venues throughout the year as published in Quarry, the journal of the Institute of Quarrying Australia. IQA certificate after attendance.
