While SkillsDMC will not provide direct, recognised, training provision, a range of quality services and products has been identified to enable the Skills Council to assist and meet enterprise skills development requirements in streamlined, strategic and cost-effective ways.
Workforce Planning
- Assist with integrating skills development programs with the enterprise's overall strategic business planning and management
Training and Analysis
- Conduct needs analysis and development of skills development strategies and options
- Provide consultancy services and advice on matching high quality services to specific education and training needs
- Assist with implementation of National Training Packages
- Brokerage services between enterprises and vocational education and training specialists
- Facilitate the use and uptake of New Apprenticeships in the different industry sectors
Research
- Research and plan to address individual, enterprise, sectoral and industry skills requirements
Consultation
- Maintain communication with industry stakeholders on developments and initiatives in vocational education and training through publications, website and industry forums
- Consult with the industry stakeholders on products and service developments to meet their requirements
