[b]Descriptor [/b] This qualification reflects the role of employees such as production operators in an underground metalliferous mine, who perform tasks involving a broad range of skilled applications in a varied work context, using some discretion and judgement in selecting equipment, services or contingency measures. Mandatory unit - RIICOM301A Communicate information This unit contains such elements as; 3. Achieve meeting outcomes 4. Make a presentation We employ and train many production operators in an underground metalliferous mines, none of which need to prepare for, conduct, or take minutes from meetings or make presentations. Thus we beleive this unit should be removed - suggest replacing with the unit RIICOM201A Communicate in the workplace. To our understanding this unit evolved through the QMS1,2,3 in QLD which was for supervisors/safety reps and not the average production operator. Cheers Aaron
